76th Annual Ceremonial Review

The Annual Ceremonial Review is a formal military inspection of the squadron. Cadets put their best foot forward for the parade, and display what they have learned in this year's training. Optional teams will present their displays and the top awards of the training year will be awarded. A reception is to follow. 

The parade is mandatory for all cadets. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.

Timings: Cadets to arrive at 0800 hrs in order practice the parade sequence and set up the facility. Parade starts at 1300 hrs. Parade dismissal at 1430 hrs at the latest. Reception to follow.

Learn to survive in the field at 330's Spring FTX!
The Squadron will have the opportunity to learn a variety of different air crew survival techniques, ranging from improvised shelters to emergency first aid, and more!

DRESS: Download and print Kit-list below - All cadets will only be allowed to bring one back pack, so pack efficient by rolling clothes tight.

  • Dress and pack according to the weather (See key points below)

  • Weather Forecast: Orangeville, ON

LOCATION/TIMES:

  • Bus Departure: Danforth Tech - 0645 HRS

  • Bus Return: Danforth Tech - 2115 HRS

  • Event Location: Glen Haffy Conservation Area

FOOD: All meals are provided >> Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Cadets may bring healthy snacks for the day

  • Water is available on site, all cadets MUST bring a water bottle (500 ml - 1L)

TRANSPIRATION: Based on the above times and location, cadets will be transported by school bus.

Transportation: N/A - this parade will occur during our regular scheduled parade night at Danforth Tech C.I.

Miscellaneous: Cadets will be participating in a military style precision drill parade consisting of an inspection by the Commanding Officer, a march past, and numerous presentations. Parents, friends, and family are highly encouraged to attend this parade in support of our youth. Cadets must arrive for 1830h on Wed, the parade will begin at 2030h.

It is mandatory that all cadets participate in a minimum of 3 shifts.  Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift.

The Air Cadet League of Canada (National) (ACL National) is conducting an aviation expo being held in Toronto at the Air Canada Jazz Aviation hanger, Pearson International Airport on Sunday, 14 Apr 19 from 0930 - 1600 hrs. This event is open to all squadrons in Central Region and is free to all cadets, officers and SSC members that register.

In collaboration with a number of the ACL’s partners, the Triple AAA Career Expo is an opportunity to provide Air cadets with exposure to the many career and job opportunities available in aviation and aerospace. As part of the ACL National’s strategic plan development, and our involvement with national organizations, such as the Canadian Council for Aviation and Aerospace and the Aerospace Industry Association of Canada, their goal is to establish new initiatives that can link Air cadets with the many partners and opportunities that exist in the aviation industry.

As the Triple AAA Career Expo is open to all cadets, the target age would be from 14 to 18 years of age that are looking for information on education and a potential career options.

Food: None provided. Cadets are to ensure they eat a nourishing breakfast prior to the activity and bring a bagged lunch or money to purchase one from near by vendors. 

Dress: C2 or black and white attire. 

Miscellaneous: Cadets will be provided with an opportunity to sell their OPC lottery books to members of the public during this event. Cadets must bring their own lottery books with them. This is an excellent opportunity for cadets experience difficulty selling their books or those looking to sell more in hopes to win a prize. A recruiting drive will also take place simultaneously in order to engage the East York community about the program we offer. Cadets can sign up for 4 hour shifts or the entire day. Attendance will be recorded and used when determining suitability for promotions, summer trg opportunities, and our sqn March break trip to Washington DC. We will be holding another range day this Saturday at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 10.

WHO: Select cadets that have not yet participated in Air Rifle familiarization. (NO RECRUITS - see note below) . [Cap 15 cadets]
WHAT: Air Rifle Familiarization - Cadets will learn about the parts of an air rifle as well as safe handling of while on range
WHERE: Royal Canadian Legion Branch 10

Cadets should arrive ahead of this time to get settled and be ready for the activity.
WHY: Air rifle familiarization is required for all cadets, with respect to the training syllabus. This familiarization is covered within PO 106/206/306/406.

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel this activity due to the expected weather for this weekend. The conditions will be largely unfavourable to the success and enjoyment of this activity.

What:
Snowshoeing and Hiking activity
330 Squadron will be heading up to Glen Haffy Conservation Area in Caledon to engage in snowshoeing and hiking familiarity. This event will be outdoors all day and cadets are to be dressed accordingly. This activity will include an on-site pre-course of how to snowshoe across varied terrain offered at Glen Haffy and the Bruce Trail.

All cadets are able to attend, however this event is capped at 40 cadets.

Dress: Proper Winter Attire, including base-layers (longjohns), hats and gloves.
Snowpants while not required are a good idea. Alternatively, cadets can wear rain pants over regular pants. NO JEANS.
Special Requirement: WINTER BOOTS.

This activity requires that all participants have proper winter boots. We will be outside for most of the day; there will be snow and ice. Furthermore, this requirement is for safety and equipment reasons. The snowshoes we are issued are not compatible with any other kinds of footwear. WINTER BOOTS ARE A MUST. Any cadet arriving the morning of, without health card, water bottle (or similar) and correct footwear will be turned away. No Exceptions.

Miscellaneous: In addition to proper winter attire, Cadets are required to bring a water container.

OPI: CI Ramkissoon 

Transportation: None. Cadets are to make their own way to and from Moss Park Armoury. Cadets must arrive at the armoury no later than 08:00am - as team check-in is at 8:15am.

Food: Cadets must bring a lunch + snacks + water, . Cadets are to ensure they eat a nourishing breakfast and prior to attending. Peanut free snacks are permitted, and a canteen will be available. Water will be available on site, please bring a water bottle.

Dress: Comfortable fitting appropriate civilian attire. Females are expected to tie any loose hair in a bun/pony tail for safety issues. 

Miscellaneous: This activity is only open to select marksmanship cadets who have been contacted directly. All cadets in attendance must bring their original health card with them.

Cadets must arrive no later than 2:45pm - and should anticipate to be there until 6:30pm. This is a full practice before next weeks Zone 11 Marksmanship Comp (Feb 24)..

Food: Cadets must bring a lunch + snacks + water, . Cadets are to ensure they eat a nourishing breakfast and lunch and prior to attending. Peanut free snacks are permitted. Water will be available on site, please bring a water bottle.

For all cadets who are interested in attending summer training, please complete the form below. You must read the summer training brochure prior to completing the form to ensure you meet ALL the prerequisites (i.e: age, level, rank etc). Any other method regarding training choices will not be accepted (such as emails). The deadline is February 24th and is firm.

·         Depart Denison 0830hrs (CFRC parking lot – across from cadet trailers)

Van #4 – Lt Jasmine Neethling – this van will include cadets who have to complete their National Course Interview (NGTA Van)
